It all started when I got my first dog; Pablo - the cutest Pug cross you will ever see. I have always loved dogs but up untill now have never had the opportunity to "own" one. Pablo was born on the 31st of January 2009. I have learnt more in these past few months about dogs than I have learnt in my whole life. I wanted to create a store that caters to dog lovers everywhere, a place where you can buy exciting and gorgeous products for your pooch that are both practical and dont stretch the purse strings! Then Lavish Dogs was born.

Some people dont see the point in clothing your dog or lavishing them with nice items and pampering them with sweet smelling shampoo. Well after owning Pablo for a few weeks and seeing his sad little face and shivering body when trying to walk him in the rain, I realised that some dogs, especially short haired dogs need coats aswell as humans and there is no way I'm going to put a tired, outdated tartan coat that you're Gran puts on her dog, on Pablo. I wanted my dog to look nice and I wanted clothes to complement his cute looks and friendly personallity aswell as handle the practical aspects of keeping my beloved dog dry and warm.

So on my first outing to the pet store I was astonished at how little choice they had in the way of Dog jackets, living in Scotland, it can get pretty cold up here and wet so there was certainly a need for dog clothes. After looking through a dozen or so items I managed to get one little jacket for Pablo that didnt look ridiculous or outdated. Anyway to cut a long story short this is why Lavish Dogs become a reality, a place where dog owners can buy top quality items, items that you wont find in your regular high street pet store. Items that are both practical and look fantastic, a place where you can really spoil your dog because all dog lovers know, a dog isnt just a pet, he is a part of your family.
